Hike along the former railroad line

The guided circular walk leads from Engeln station along the former railroad line to Weibern, Kempenich and back to Engeln station. The route runs along natural and paved paths, except for a few meters above. You will gain an insight into the history of the Brohltal Railway on the section of the line to Kempenich, which was closed in 1974. You will also receive a wealth of information about the area surrounding the railroad line. In Weibern, you will visit the tuff museum.

It is possible to travel on the Brohl Valley Railway, departing from Brohl at 10.15 am and arriving in Engeln at 11.40 am. The return journey can be made by train, departing at 16:30 and arriving in Brohl at 17:40.

Please wear sturdy shoes and bring rucksack provisions.
