There she worked for several years at the respective volcano observatories. But her path has also taken her to other spectacular volcanoes around the world - to Fogo on Cape Verde, to La Palma, where she led the task force missions of the GeoForschungsZentrum in Potsdam, and even to the
sub-Antarctic.
In her presentation, she will give a first-hand account of how erupting volcanoes are researched and monitored on site and how their eruptions are investigated
. Experience first-hand the challenges and limitations of forecasting volcanic eruptions as well as impressive insights into the
internal architecture, eruption behavior and crisis management of some of the most active volcanoes on Earth.
