Eröffnung der Laacher Orgelkonzerte
May 2, 2025
Maria Laach
After a romantic adagio and an equally romantic, virtuoso series of variations by Bossi, the program concludes with the great, sixth and final organ sonata by Camillo Schumann, a late romantic Saxon composer. The four-movement sonata contains dramatic and lyrical sections and concludes with a brilliant toccata with a chorale-like secondary theme.
Guests from near and far can also be heard until October 3, including the renowned emeritus Prof. Ludger Lohmann (Stuttgart), Jesus Sampedro (Seville), Bjørn Steinar Solbergsson (Reykjavik), Dariia Lytvishko - there will also be a jazz organ recital with Lilo Kunkel (Würzburg) for the first time.
Total duration: approx. 60 minutes.
Admission is free; a collection will be taken at the end for the preservation of the Laach Organ Concerts.
You are cordially invited.
