In this workshop, participants go on a discovery tour through the almost 2,000-year-old Meurin Roman mine. A child-friendly guided tour imparts knowledge about the life of Roman miners in and around the tuff quarry.
In the interactive part of the workshop, the young explorers become Roman miners themselves: under supervision, tuff blocks are worked on in the stonemason's hut, flour is ground using a millstone and heavy blocks of rock are lifted using a Roman crane. Archery is another highlight of the 2.5-hour program.
