Departure from Brohl is at 10:15 a.m., but you can also board the train at any other station. The first stage in the historic carriages takes around 50 minutes to Oberzissen station, located below Olbrück Castle, where you will arrive at 11:07 am.

A sumptuous breakfast buffet with many delicacies from the region awaits you in a nearby restaurant. Take your time and enjoy your breakfast to the full! We wish you a good appetite!

Afterwards you can choose whether you want to

a) start the return journey to Brohl am Rhein at 12:55 (arrival at 13:40),

b) after a walk or a hike on the 8 km long "Rundweg Oberzissen" at 3:10 p.m., continue on the steep line to the Engeln terminus at an altitude of 459 m and return to Brohl from there (arrival in Brohl at 5:40 p.m.) or

c) extend your stay in Oberzissen, e.g. for a visit to the swing golf course at the Rodder Maar, the Rodder Maar or Olbrück Castle and return to Brohl on the 16:55 train (arriving at 17:40).

Ticket price

There is an attractive combined ticket for the train journey and the Eifel volcano breakfast for only 42.00 euros for adults and 21.00 euros for children (6-15 years). Your ticket is valid as a day ticket on the entire Brohl - Engeln route.

Registration is required to take part in the farmers' breakfast.
