"Sauerbrunnen" or "Sauerlinge" are carbon dioxide-containing sources typical for regions with volcanic activity that have been used since time immemorial.

The fountain in Nickenich is also popularly called "Brünnchen".

Schlosspark mit Schlösschen & Grottenpavillon

In the center of the local community is the beautifully landscaped castle park with a small castle and a pond with a grotto pavilion.

Kaiserhalle Burgbrohl

The special reason for building the Kaiserhalle in this form as a self-supporting domed hall was the need for the builder Wilhelm Bell to provide evidence that local building materials such as lime, lava sand and trass can also be used for extreme loads. At a time before the turn of the century, when cement had started its triumphal march and the mining of the tram in the Brohl valley continued to decline, such proof seemed necessary.

Hochkreuz

The Hochkreuz is located on the lava flow between Thür and Mendig. From here you can see far into the Pellenz. The high cross represents a covered crucifixion group.
